The Pakistani Resource Centre was established in 1966, which aims to empower the South Asian Communities within Greater Manchester, to confront some of the problems they may be experiencing including unemployment, poor housing, racial abuse and cultural alienation.
Some of our services include providing counselling, emotional and practical support to individuals experiencing mental ill health and their carers and family.
We provide statutory mainstream services and other voluntary organisations with information about Asian ideas of personhood, culture and belief systems.
We are committed to providing a highly sensitive service to all ethnic minorities from the South Asian Communities. This is accomplished by providing services, which are culturally and religiously sensitive, which enable the communities to be empowered.
